Orca Offshore and Naval Dynamics are pleased to inform that we have successfully concluded the design of a Wind Turbine Service Unit.
The vessel has been designed to perform offshore maintenance work on wind turbines utilizing the DeltaCat semi-submersible design developed by Naval Dynamics and a 3D compensated crane developed by Huisman.
The combined system has been analysed and model-tested and has shown to give very high up-time to perform the work in the most challenging environments.
Our Client, OWL Heavy lift bv, has commissioned a reputable construction yard to further detail the design to a level ready for construction which has been planned to start before the end of 2020.
Naval Dynamics and Orca Offshore will continue their support during detailed design and construction to assure that the vessel will meet the performance targets as defined during the design.
