Orca Offshore has done a dynamic mating conceptual analysis for floating wind concepts in cooperation with SPT Offshore.
The work included a study for Vertiwind and the Statoil Hywind project.
The scope of work for Orca included:
- Modelling of the Spar and mooring system
- Determine hydrodynamic database using 3D diffraction
- Perform frequency domain analysis to determine the motion and load RAO’s
- Perform time domain mating analysis
